Healing Environment
Our 125,000 square-foot hospital is a freestanding facility on the main campus of University Community Hospital in Tampa. The facility includes a 52-bed pre/post cardiovascular interventional unit, 16 cardiovascular critical care beds, a 20-bed cardiac surgery recovery unit, 48 progressive care beds, 5 surgical suites, 10 cardiac catheterization and electrophysioloogy invasive procedure suites, advanced digital diagnostic equipment, and comprehensive wellness, rehabilitation, and education programs.

Great attention has been given to creating a patient and family focused and friendly environment. The two-story main entrance features an open staircase and textured water wall. All patient rooms are  spacious and private, reflecting our philosophy that comfortable surroundings reduce tension during critical times. Each patient room is designed with rich warm colors and ammenities that create a welcoming, innovative, and reassuring environment. The bedside amenity system allows patients to order movies on-demand, provides Internet access from the bedside and offers patients in-room health education.

Our foyer and waiting rooms are colorful and comfortable, offering access to refreshments, media and internet access, as well as quiet and contemplative places to rest and reflect.

The Stein Family Serenity Garden, located just outside the back door of the Pepin Heart Hospital, is a beautiful oasis that features a 5 foot x 15 foot waterfall, lush landscaping and ample seating.
