Dr. Kiran C. Patel Research Institute
The Dr. Kiran C. Patel Research Institute is located at the Pepin Heart Hospital and is part of University Community Health System.

The mission of the Institute is to advance patient care through cutting edge clinical and patient focused research and is inclusive of all clinical disciplines. Clinical investigators are active members of the medical or nursing staffs of one or more University Community Health System facilities. The Medical Staff Director of Research is Dr. Vasco Marques.

Institute Medical Directorship is provided by Dr. Charles R. Lambert through affiliation with the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Administrative Directorship is provided by Janice Shirley, MBA, MPH, PA-C .  Research at the Institute is conducted under standards of Good Clinical Practice provided by the FDA and ICH.
