AFib Treatment: Cardioversion
Cardioversion is a treatment for AFib in which a low-voltage electrical shock delivered to heart so it beats regularly again. It is usually performed in early stages of AFib and is usually followed up with a medication regimen of blood thinner and/or rhythm management drug.
Cardioversion does not cure AFib. Results of this treatment are often temporary.
